Setup Guide

Follow these steps to connect Microsoft Dataverse to your CData Virtuality account:

In the Web UI, open the Sources page:
Type Microsoft Dataverse into the search field, then click the data source button:
On the Basic Settings tab of the new connection, enter a connection name or keep the default name.
Enter the Organization URL to your organization’s Dataverse data (for example, https://abc123.crm.dynamics.com/).
Select the Authentication method, then proceed to the relevant section and follow those instructions.

Select a Schema from the drop down. System is used for optimal performance, while Entities provides more user-friendly table names.
Click Sign in to connect securely through OAuth. This action opens the Dataverse sign-in page in a new tab.
Log into your Dataverse account and provide the requested permissions (if applicable).
At the top of the CData Connect Add Dataverse Connection page, click Save & Test.
- If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.
- If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.

Enter the Azure Tenant that you will use to access data.
Enter your OAuth Client Id.
Enter your OAuth Client Secret.
Enter your OAuth JWT Cert. This is a multi-line key.
Select your OAuth JWT Cert Type from the drop down.
Select a Schema from the drop down. System is used for optimal performance, while Entities provides more user-friendly table names.
At the top of the CData Connect Add Dataverse Connection page, click Save & Test.
- If the connection test succeeds, a message indicates that your connection has been created.
- If the connection test fails, ensure that you entered your login information correctly with no stray spaces or other characters. Then, try again.
